While we have more leisure time than 50 years ago, there is an important twist, according to Harvard professor Ashley Whillans (pictured above): "leisure has never been less relaxing, mostly because of the disintermediating effects of our screens".
This was an interesting read but scared me😂it’s been a month since I am trying my hand at intermittent fasting and ironically I read this during my first meal!

Thanks for sharing this with us, Tahia. What a funny coincidence. And regarding both IF and IDF: You got this!
Thank you for the vote of confidence!
I really like the idea of digital intermittent fasting. I'm going to try it. Thanks!
So glad it hit for you Shmuel. Let us know how it went!
I’ve been writing about phones for the past week with a follow up post tomorrow.
It’s something high in my thoughts at the moment as my kids are pushing for phones. Check out my Substack for more on this.
In terms of the detox I’ve started doing one massive thing which is putting my phone to bed downstairs before bed. Game changer.
Also, on your point about meal times. We have a very strong rule in our house of no phones at the dinner table.
Adults need to lead by example. Our children are watching.
Thanks for sharing this Martin. Appreciate you!
I’ve really upped my phone usage since starting writing on here - this is a great tip, one I’m going to try today. Thanks!
Glad to read that Jack, let me know hot it went!
Limiting your screen time 60 min after waking up and before bed is a great idea. Thank you, Christian!
So glad you found it useful Alejandro, thank you!
